Clarys Intelligence :
Espeir and Kinai Join Forces

Espeir and Clarys
Espeir develops Clarys, a modern viewer based on the FHIR standard, in partnership with leaders in hospital system interoperability. It enables healthcare institutions to make patient records accessible and easy to read, while fully complying with standardized formats.

The Challenge of FHIR data
FHIR medical records contain a wealth of information, but :
– some of it is well structured (observations, diagnoses, medications),
– some appears in free text (clinical notes, reports), and much remains hidden within attached documents (PDFs, external reports).
The Result :
– caregivers waste time searching for data, and critical information can be overlooked in clinical decision-making.
– structuring existing records requires significant technical resources.
Clarys Intelligence with Kinai
To address this challenge, Espeir and Kinai designed Clarys Intelligence. Built on the Kinai Memory, this module enhances Clarys by transforming the patient record into a true augmented clinical memory.
In practice, Kinai directly indexes FHIR data streams and links them to major medical knowledge bases (ICD-11, SNOMED CT, MeSH, drug SPCs, etc.).
The result is immediate : caregivers can quickly access key information, even when it is buried in text or attached documents.
Operating Principle
The system works on a simple mechanism: a FHIR connector synchronizes patient data to Kinai, which organizes it and links it to authoritative medical knowledge.
From there, the Clarys Intelligence application can offer users high–value features such as semantic search across the entire record, comparison with clinical case vignettes, identification of similar episodes, and highlighting of related patients.
